Industrial Tyres are used for heavy machinery and heavy equipment used in different industries like manufacturing, mining, agriculture, military etc. These tyres are also called OTR Tyres ( off the road).
The most common OTR tyres are used for forklifts, large trucks, excavator machines, mining equipment and other heavy industrial vehicles.
OTR Tyres Selection Criteria
Important things to consider while selecting an OTR tyre is the area where tyres are to be used, the range of loads, grip on the surface, puncture resistance, twisting, turning and ability to resist heat. These parameters determine the rubber composition, profile depth and profile type.
A very important parameter for OTR tyres is load-bearing capacity as a function of heat generation.
